Steven Lim Entrepreneurship Award Recipient
Inspired to Start His Own Bursary

Nabill Shukry Johary, founder of Cheekies Enterprise Pte Ltd and a recipient of the Steven Lim Entrepreneurship Award, has credited Dr. Steven Lim, Founder and Group CEO of RSTN Consulting, as the man who inspired him to start his own bursary.

During his interview for the award, Nabill shared that he did not want anyone else to go through the hardships he had faced. Even before learning he had won, he began the groundwork for the Cheekies Enterprise Bursary with Republic Polytechnic (RP), where he once received financial assistance as a student. In his words, “That interview was the fire for me to start!”

Nabill and Dr. Lim met again on 1 October 2026 at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Legacy of Excellence Appreciation Dinner 2026, where Nabill sat beside Dr. Lim and described him as generous with both his knowledge and his network.

Cheekies Enterprise is contributing S$10,000 to the bursary, which is expected to start supporting RP students in 2027. Nabill’s journey, from bursary recipient to business owner to donor, reflects the spirit of paying it forward behind the Steven Lim Entrepreneurship Award.
